Friday Favorites vol. 11

Happy Friday!

We got home from Copenhagen on Monday afternoon and from the moment we landed life has been full (I’m trying to avoid the word ‘busy’ lately). The yoga teacher training program that I have been leading this summer started back up again on Wednesday and then is taking up most of my Saturday as well, but that’s okay because I love it so much and we have such a fun group of yogis this time around. Sunday will be spent at Pineapple Camp, which has been dominating my mind and work load for the last two months, and I am so excited to see it all come to fruition! It’s not too late to snag a ticket if you want to join 🙂 The weather this weekend looks so beautiful and perfect and I can’t wait to spend a day outside with a bunch of new and old friends!

I’m sharing ten things I’ve been loving lately, lusting over, or just generally enjoying. Here’s to a beautiful weekend — hope it’s a good one wherever you are!

____________________________________________________________

one: Alaina Kaczmarski’s Home Tour

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a home tour this good. I love how Alaina makes neutral living look so cozy and chic and I think I’ve officially pinned every single image onto my “dream home” pinterest board at this point.

two: Shine Text

I’m a total sucker for inspirational quotes/books/podcasts/etc. and look forward to getting my Shine Text every morning. In a nutshell, it’s a super simple and small inspirational quote delivered to your phone at whatever time you want (I get mine at 8am each day!). Highly recommend for a daily dose of happy 🙂

three: Herbal Wallpaper

Trying to convince my husband that we absolutely, positively, 100% need this wallpaper somewhere in our house. I mean, I didn’t name my blog “planthouse” for nothing, right? so dreamy.

four: Joule Sous Vide

We invested in this sous vide cooker a little over a month ago, and I have to say it is probably the only way I will ever cook meat, fish, etc. ever again. Not only does it deliver completely perfect results every. single. time., but I can control everything with the app on my phone and even go teach a yoga class or run some errands while my food cooks at home (no stove or oven required!).

five: a course on Buddhism

I am always seeking new ways to learn and expand my own knowledge about whatever piques my interest, and I currently have my eye on this free course. I’m thinking this might be the perfect way to get through the winter ahead!

six: Mexico on my mind

Tulum has been on my travel bucket list for years and after seeing this new hotel, my desperation to get there is at an all time high. Now if only Zika would disappear…

seven: luxurious laundry detergent

It may sound silly, but I swear every load of laundry feels (& smells!) so much better with this stuff. We struggle with lots and lots of sweaty yoga clothes and not only is this brand naturally derived and way cleaner than what I used to buy, but it smells like heaven and actually works! It’s always a bonus when the branding is beautiful, too.

eight: minimalist jewelry I love

I don’t wear much jewelry at all, but I’ve been looking for delicate rings for what feels like forever, and I’m loving pretty much everything this brand had on their website. I’m thinking these might make it on my Christmas list 😉

nine: protein powder obsession

Tasty and good-for-you protein powder seems to be one of the hardest things to find and I really can’t survive long days at the yoga studio without it (without the protein, my fruit + vegetable based smoothies sometimes make me super hungry within an hour or two!). I’m so excited to have finally found a brand I love, plus they’re from San Diego (my hometown) which makes me love them even more. I have all three flavors (vanilla, chai, and chocolate) and love them all!

ten: The Juice Laundry has arrived in DC!

My good friends Sarah and Mike just opened the Juice Laundry here in the Navy Yard area of DC (they have two other locations in Charlottesville, VA) and I am so happy they did! They have the most incredible 100% organic juice, smoothies, smoothie bowls, raw desserts, etc. and it is totally worth the 30 minute drive it takes for me to get there 🙂
