Green Routine

If there is one person in our household that loves routine, it surely is not me. More likely than not, I thrive off of change. I have never been one to hesitate for too long when faced with big decisions like moving across the country, changing jobs, etc. etc. Because of this general disdain for sitting in one place for too long, I often find myself feeling quite the opposite of grounded.

This is where my very small daily routines come in to play. Aside from the general things that keep me sane (hello, 8 hours of sleep at a minimum), I rely heavily on the green smoothie we make every morning. We have about a million different versions of smoothies that we love to experiment with, but this one is my tried and true favorite. I find it to be the perfect blend of green and creamy and is also much more satiating thanks to the coconut yogurt, collagen peptides and protein-rich tocos powder. Don’t forget to top yours with bee pollen for that extra dose of vitamins, minerals and immune support.


2 handfuls spinach

2 handfuls curly kale

1 frozen banana

1 cup frozen mango

1 cup ice

1/2 cup coconut yogurt (I am in love with this brand)

1/2 cup coconut water

1 cup filtered water

Superfood Additions:

1 tsp. chlorella (a complete plant-based source of amino acids and protein)

1 tbsp. collagen peptides (so amazing for joints, skin, and hair)

1 tbsp. tocos (full of vitamins D & E)

1 tsp. probiotic powder (I love this brand)

*blend all ingredients together and then top with a teaspoon of bee pollen
